While we share the history of King Roof that was founded in 1977, the King Roof is focused on car racks and supporting the people travelling around the world.
1977
Established in Taiwan and specialize in tooling production and metal processing.
1982
First Roof Bar OEM manufacture for major European client.
1988
First 【 Trunk Bike Carrier】 made in Taiwan and first Taiwanese bike carrier manufacture exhibit internationally.
2000
Certified with ISO 9001:2000 = quality assurance in manufacturing and management.
2004
Move to new facility with 10000 square meters and acquire CNC bending machines and robotic welding machines. Standard Operation Procedure (SOP) is thoroughly practiced in each production run to offer consistent quality.
2007
Built customized testing facility allows us to test any racks according to Germany standard. (Corrosion test, static, Dynamic, Aging, and Road Test)
2008
Built Design Center with CAE (Computer-aided engineering) simulation technology.
2012
Product is awarded by TAIPEI CYCLE d&i awards and earn Innovation Award at Taiwan Sporting Goods Show. In the same year our hitch mount bike rack was acquisition of The 19nd Taiwan SMEs Innovation Award.
2013
Bike rack got this prestigious recognition of Taiwan Excellence Award, the highest product award given by Taiwanese government
2014
Total of 100 open models for private label. Among them, 18 models are passed international safety standards for rack like XP R18-904-4:2008 and ISO/PAS 11154:2006 by TüV NORD, we own more than 60 international patents.
2015
Move into new manufacturing facility with energy saving equipment and layout per lean manufacturing. Total floor areas exceed 15000 square meters.
2016
New headquarter is finished including R&D center, state of art testing facility, administration building, and a garden for recreation area.
